I sent a package to a customer in Canada. I bought the shipping label from Etsy. When she and I both checked the tracking number, it listed a delivery that happened in April. Today is August 8.
It surprises me that there isn't a way to contact a human at Etsy. This order was about $130 worth of product and its lost in the wind. I thought if I used Etsy's shipping it would be much more safe. I really need help with this and there's no one there. I literally have no idea what to do.
I was furnished with a Tracking number that leads to nowhere. Please help.
USPS often recycles tracking numbers - the tracking number are issued to the postage reseller (I believe that I read in one of the forums that Etsy uses Pitney Bowes). Was the package scanned when you shipped it? Usually the latest scan trumps scans of a previous label and if there is discrepancy (duplicate labels) the USPS site allows you to select which ship date you are tracking.

Just had this happen. Us to UK. Tracking number immediately showed "delivered". At the Post office they said they had never seen that and weren't sure what would happen if I sent it. I didn't want to risk it as it was Priority Express International. So I bought a new label, and figured I'd refund the first (as I have done with wrong postage before). New label (bought about a half later) showed another "delivered" shipment attached to the number. I ended up filling everything out long hand at the post office and bought a new label in person. Then I realized there now is no option to refund the labels like there normally is on a pre-transit label. So now off to try to contact USPS and/or Etsy about the bad postage. I am glad I didn't just drop it off without realizing the number is bad. I couldn't take the risk of the package being in limbo.
