Anyone else receive an email stating that they are a star seller, but never get a badge on their page, and it say to “keep going?”
I’m so frustrated with this that I’m in the process of leaving Etsy, since there is no way to reach a human to get help. I earned this, I should have the badge and the benefits. I’ve worked too hard, and I pay too much to have no way to get assistance.
Those emails have been sent in error before. You should be able to tell whether or not you were supposed to have the star by reviewing the CSVs for the correct (previous) period.
For any late reply, you need 19 on-time replies within the same period to get that badge.
you are missing the reply to messages badge.
Correct. That’s what it states. But the missed message was from April, and I’ve have many more messages than five (which it states). I’m so confused why I would receive the email stating that I am a star seller, but not have it reflect on my site. The missed message was about a donation request and had nothing to do with an order. If I didn’t earn it, then don’t send me the Congratulations email. Something is off.
I am not sure---but I think at the beginning of the month, everyone gets a star seller email showing their stats and what badges they received for the last review period. Did you get that email, or did the email specifically say you were a star seller for June? Or did it say you achieved the star seller badges for shipping and reviews?
Specifically for June. And I knew that I made it, I was looking forward to it, and BAM. I’m bummed out.
I've heard of that happening but when the seller reviews the CSV they find they did not qualify for the badge. Possible you might have just missed. Set ups automatically can be problematic at times.
When did you receive the email? Those are usually sent out within the first week of the 1st of the month. Emails received later may not be from Etsy.
July is not yet ready for star seller announcement as it has at least 4 more days.
Thank you for replying!!!Good to know!

I appreciate your help! Nineteen is the number to reach! Good to know. I just want to know how to pick up the pieces from that missed message. Have a wonderfulSunday!
@StefanieSchmid: If you look at the applicable CSV file from your Star Seller page, you can see which message(s) Etsy thinks you did not answer within 24 hours. As you look at the file, remember that the date / time are in UTC (not your local time zone), only the first message of a new incoming thread is included (all that counts for Star Seller), and a new thread is usually not included until after the 24 hour reply window has passed.
If an unanswered message is not a Help Request, at least for the time being, it appears that marking an unanswered thread as SPAM (even after the 24 hour deadline has passed) will cause your reply percentage to change in a day or two if the original message was within the current star seller period (but not retroactively). Note that subsequent messages from that account may go directly to the SPAM folder.
If the missed message was in April, then you will need 19 answered (in 24 hours) messages since that message and before the end of June to qualify for the July badge. It takes SS 24 to 48 hours to update and with messages that time doesn't start until after the 24 hour response time window closes, so don't count on messages after the 27th of June to help you. That April message will drop off at the end of June, so unless something else happens you would be eligible for the August badge.
