Etsy inactived one of my listing. They send me an email and i tryied to communicate with them but they can not specify the reason that my item got inactive. It' s my design and 3d printed by me and i have the original photos. How i can communicate withe the Etsy’s Trust and Safety team, so i can ask them to reconsider my situation?
I’ve had one listing removed, I have sent them evidence and all I’ve got back was standard generic replies saying that the listing was deactivated for good and I should not attempt to relist the item. However, one day the listing was restored by Etsy without notice. I again sent them a message and asked for explanation but had no response. The listing is active.
@SM3dLaserInspiration To the best of my knowledge Yubico and Yubikey are trademarked. Were the deactivated listings also trademarked?
What are the title and tags of the listing which was deactivated by Etsy?
I don't see any license from the companies for use of their trademarked names/ Is it possible Etsy thinks the item is counterfeit because there are other similar products out there? Does the company in question make their own covers?
You may need to look around and see if 1) your photos were stolen and hence you need to issue a DMCA to that party or 2) find out if the company is okay with you making a key cover and using their name.
If you email Etsy, it will take some time to get a reply.
@SM3dLaserInspiration: It is almost impossible to speculate on why a particular listing was deactivated, but Etsy is cracking down on what they feel inappropriate. Reselling and copyright and trademark infringements is a always large factor. Since Etsy is now also factoring descriptions in search, they along with titles, tags, and materials (and possibly even alt tags if you are using them) are all probably being checked. And the bots are also "reading" images. Plus we do not know what combination of possibly multiple factors constitute the trigger that flagged your listing.
As mentioned, you need to include the licensing information (and the usually required attributions and disclaimers) for all of the trademarked and copyrighted names and images in your shop in your listing, otherwise buyers (and Etsy) may conclude they are counterfeits. Including the licensing information will show that you are not selling those items illegally.
Also, the way that you word something makes a difference. "Yubikey BIO / C BIO (FIDO edition) Cover" implies that the cover is made by Yubikey and therefore you are selling a counterfeit or you are reselling. "My Cover for Yubikey" should be okay but obviously the trademark owner can still come after you (if you do not have a license) for using their intellectual property without permission to sell your product, especially if you are not including the appropriate disclaimers and attributions.
