Ignoring upgrades and ignoring problems, the Etsy store experience is challenged

The Etsy store upgrade issue seriously damaged user trust and experience. After filling in the legal person name as the company name, the system automatically changes it to the owner's name. This kind of system error has become a common problem encountered by many users. Although we reported this bug to the official many times, it has not been effectively resolved. This not only prevents many stores from being successfully upgraded to company stores, but also wastes a lot of our time and energy.

Not only that, but the problems we face don't stop there. After we submitted our detailed company profile, Etsy actually closed down our shop because our name was not on the documents.

I don't think it is a bug. As far as I know, you are not allowed to change the owner of the shop. Whatever owner's name it was opened with can't be reassigned to another. There may well have been changes to this rule that I am unaware of.

It sounds like you are trying to force a square peg into a round hole.

You probably need to open a new shop under the owner's name that you are trying to change to.

During the company upgrade process, when I entered the Name of legal entity, the system automatically changed it to something else, causing the submitted documents to not match. Although I have submitted detailed documents including company name, EIN and legal documents of personal shareholding, the official review has not yet been passed. This situation prevents me from successfully completing the company upgrade process.

Etsy store upgrade? upgraded to company stores?

It sounds like you are trying to do something that has never been allowed on Etsy. You can change the store name and many other things about the store - but trying to change the owner means that you are effectively creating a new store. The TOUs have always prevented that.

I did not change the store owner. When my sales gradually increased, I considered changing the model of filing tax returns in my personal name to corporate tax filing to better manage tax affairs and reduce tax burdens.
