I set 8-10 weeks as the delivery time, it's been only one and I'm marked as shipping late?

I do all custom orders, and set a timeline of 8-10 weeks with the customer - well documented in our messages with each other.  I sent her a custom order link with that time frame, but now after only a few day it is showing that I should have shipped yesterday.  This has cost me my star seller badge.  Please resolve this as all communication has been clear and I have not failed to meet any obligation.  The sale is here https://www.etsy.com/your/orders/sold?ref=seller-platform-mcnav&order_id=2895456179

What does your shipping profile say?

What have you put for: ready to ship in....

When you set it to 1 business day that can cause it. Because this determines whether you are late.

and also that link is only accessable to you. We cannot view behind your shop.

in your dash board go to shipping- shipping options- edit.

There you can set the processing time for when you are ready to ship.

Your "Processing" Timeframe is what counts for "Shipping on Time". Your "Estimated Delivery Date" is the time you set (or the System sets) according to your Shipping Method for the Order to be delivered after dispatch.

It looks like you have a 3-5 Day Processing Timeframe. You need to change that in the Shipping Profile if your Processing Timeframe will be longer. Discussions with a Customer through Messaging will not count as the "system" cannot read these.

You do say that all of your Orders are "Custom". If that is the case you must set the "Ships By" / "Processing Timeframe" for the Listing before the Buyer purchases it. It is the information on the actual Listing when it is purchased that sets the "Ships By" date, not any other date agreed to in messages.

@BarchilonCeramics: As mentioned, check the shipping profile attached to that listing. Was the scheduled ship date correct when you first received the order? That is the date that decides if a shipment is late.

Just so you know, even if Etsy Support or the Help Pages sent you here, this is a seller peer to peer forum, and should not be considered a way to contact Etsy if that is your hope (although Etsy does sometimes read and reply to posts).

We are only other sellers here in the Forum.

We cannot view your private links.

We cannot adjust your Star Seller metrics, and neither can Etsy.

Adjust your settings and do better next time.

FYI, Etsy doesn't like shops with long processing and shipping times. It will be a constant struggle for you to meet their standards.

Putting very long processing times in your listings will effect your placement in search. Etsy prefers fast transactions.

Good luck.

Re: I set 8-10 weeks as the delivery time, it's been only one and I'm marked as shipping late?

Yeah, none of those things are the issue.  It's a glitch in the system.  I edited the timeframe before sending the custom link, changed it to 8-10 weeks, and sent it to the customer.  The issue is changing the time frame often doesn't work.  It's happened to me twice, costing me star seller each time.  The ready to ship by field is weird.  You often have to enter the same data three or four times to get it to take.  In this case I did, I double checked it was correct, and I sent it to the customer.  The days to weeks field obviously didn't take though, reverting back to days from weeks (a recurring glitch).  Oh well, just posting here as Etsy said to, and hoping an admin might notice.
