I received An email congratulating me for an 'in person payment' that I did not take. There is no account information and the mailing address is listed for 'IPP Anonymous Buyer.' The order is also already listed as complete when I did not do this.
Etsy's support chat link is broken so I don't know what to do. Help!!

Do you by chance use Square to keep track of any in-person transactions? I do and the last market that I did I noted what I sold in Square and usually, I get an email like the one you're describing immediately after...however it didn't happen this last time and I got a random one today. (which I was able to verify was something I sold 2 weeks ago through Square). so maybe it was delayed coming in for you as well?

Does it actually show up in your Seller Dashboard as a sale?
If not, it's probably a phishing scam.

Yes I use square and I did think it was a duplicate/ late notification from a square purchase I put in a few weeks ago. My square has been having difficulty syncing the last while so perhaps it's just now recognizing the order

If you receive an actual order, you will see it in your "Orders and Shipping" section and you will receive an email from Etsy notifying you that you have a sale, and there will be a notification in your dashboard as well.
but these are for supposed "in person" sales, not etsy sales.
