I have a question, about setting up a couple of listings that are priced per yard.

I am hitting a brain fog, in variations,  of how to set up the listing per yard listing on pom pom fringe.  Thanks so much!

If you want to charge by the yard, you don't need variations. Add the per yard price and under quantity the total yards available.

BUT if it is something that people are likely to buy large quantities of you might be better to set up Variations

If you merely price by the yard use the quantity dropdown, if someone buys 10 yards, you will be charged  10 relisting fees of 20c each

But if you set up Variations by length, you will only be charged one relisting fee for longer lengths

So you could have Variations of:
1 yd
2 yd
5 yd
10 yd

etc etc
