Hello everyone, Please help. I will give the Etsy customer a full refund. I fill in the information, but etsy does not accept it and a notification pops up on my screen, Sorry, we were unable to process this refund because we were unable to successfully charge your registered credit card. Please review your billing information and update your saved card if necessary before trying again. I contacted my bank and they repeatedly say that there is no problem with them. I have no idea how to return it and I am worried!
@OldRugsAndCarpets Your card may be fine, but perhaps you entered it incorrectly on Etsy. Go to edit it, and re-enter everything. Shop Manager- Finances - Payment Settings - Billing tab at the top. Hope that helps!
When I make sales on etsy, the money comes to my bank without any problems, but when I go to the payment settings section, it says that my debit card is not verified, so I entered my information and received a notification on my screen; We sent a small deposit to your bank account! Confirm the amount to complete verifying your bank. I think this depzito is coming in 4 5 days. My question is: Will my return be accepted after verifying my debit card? Or does the verification have nothing to do with the refund? thanks
You must confirm your debit card to use it. If you have enough funds in your Etsy account to cover the refund, it can be deducted from your Etsy account. (When you sell something, it may be a day or two before it goes into your account.) Otherwise, they will charge it back to your credit card on file.
It doesn't mean there is anything wrong with your card. There is a law that Etsy must verify that it is your bank account.
It doesn't always take that long to get the deposit that verifies you have control of your account. When I did it, I got the deposit the next day, so keep checking your bank every day.
When you make a sale, the money isn't immediately available in your account, so if you have to to a full refund, Etsy will take it from your credit card initially and when the money is available you will get all of it back. So you need to have a credit card on file from which they can take funds. If you don't, you can't do business.
Your card has probably expired and needs to be updated on Etsy.
You mean the date on my card? 2024 will be over. Are you saying this?
@OldRugsAndCarpets Yes, confirm your debit card, as specified. This is most likely the issue in not being able to process a refund.
Once that is done, you will need to issue the refund again. Don't worry, you can only cancel and refund once.
The name on the card is correct, the expiration date is correct and my billing address is correct. There is no problem, but it does not accept.
Will my return be accepted after verifying my debit card? Or does the verification have nothing to do with the refund? thanks
Once you're verified your debit card, it will allow you to refund. Until then, you can't.
But the money for the products I sell comes to my bank without any problems. If it had been as you said, he wouldn't have come either?
your card in the billing section, is your card, a credit card, or debit card, it has to be accurate, and in date, etsy doesn't check it, before they try to use it, for something like a refund.
The bank account, in the payment section, is your bank account, it has to be accurate, and be verified with your bank through etsy (normally on the first sale, they can't pay you, until it is verified.)
they are not the same thing
Thank you, ok I'll wait for that. I hope it will be as you say.
No, it's a debit card, not a credit card, and it's up to date.
Does your Debit card have a limit, ?? this may be the problem, as being over your limit to withdraw at one time, and not let it go through. Check with your bank about limits you may have to ask them to raise it if possible. Maybe do 2 refunds for the customer, if that is possible on one invoice on Etsy.
Are you sure the number on the card is correct? You didn't mix up or forget a number? Check it again.
i am having this issue my account has been verified for years. i see the original post is from january so i am wondering if there is a way to resolve the issue.
