I can't create a new listing

I've been trying for days to post a new listing.

Here's everything I've tried:

• Deleting cookies and all that
• Using the app
• Using the browser on my phone
• Using both of my laptops
• I've tried coping my listing to post
• I've start a whole new listing
• I've saved in my drafts and tried posting

It literally just give me an error message saying if it continues to contact Etsy support. I've done that FOUR times. Every time they say someone has emailed me or is going to email. I have nothing in my email from them besides the regular everyday Etsy ads.

Does the listing you're trying to post use words or a name that might cause it to be flagged?

Your reference to Taylor in sold listings might be causing the problem.

@KMPDesigns2022   I would  ask chat support if you are permitted to use the words Taylor Inspired and inquire if you're shop is in good standing.

Interesting thought about infringement, etc causing an issue but I suspect that Etsy would still allow the listing to publish and then deactivate it.

But @KMPDesigns2022 should still heed the advice above - saying 'xyz inspired' is not in itself a defense to trademark infringement. Plus a shop needs to remember that what is in the description and the images (and alt tags) as well as tags and materials, not just the title, all have to comply with intellectual property laws. Even just using the name of her tour gives Taylor Swift's lawyers an argument that a shop is using her trademark without permission for financial enrichment. Of course if a shop does have the appropriate licensing they need to include that in their listing.

The defense to an alleged Trademark Infringement is First Sale Doctrine and Nominative Fair Use; the latter covers freedom of speech. Both will stand in court.

So yes, you can use a brand name to describe your item. Perfectly legal.

Btw you’d be surprised to find out what is covered by freedom of speech but I digress.

I'm having the same issues with the same responses from Etsy. That's actually why I came here, to see if anyone was experiencing similar issues. I have inventory to list that I can't get in front of my customers now. So irritating.

I've had the same issues. I've tried multiple browsers - Chrome, Firefox, Edge, logged in and out. Nothing works. Sent them the error code.  Etsy has been no help. Different people from Etsy contacted me and told me to try different browsers. Did that. Super frustrated. Probably going to sell what I have and go to a different platform. I tried to tell them THEY have a problem and then communication stopped.

Two of your three listings contain numerous IP infringements: Taylor Swift, Eras Tour, photos of celebrities, late and alive. I couldn't find any licensing info. 

"I regret to inform you that The Eras Tour font is currently unavailable, but I do have a few that are similar." 

If you don't have permissions to use these names, images and fonts, you can't make money selling these products. It is not fan art. These items put your shop at risk.
