Human help
I am in the process of setting up my shop, everything was going seamlessly, I even received a confirmation from Etsy congratulating me on opening my store. I am based in Hong Kong and for some unknown reason they are asking me for an Australian business number!? Why? The worst part is that I only receive generic responsis when I contact them. Nothing is being done and there doesn't seem anything I can do. I would like to know how to contact a human who can help with this. Etsy's slogan is 'keeping commerce human'... Practice what you preach please...

Re: Human help
Humans are very scarce in Etsy customer service:)
The Chat feature comes and goes try looking in Contact Us, but to be honest they've never been able to help me.
You'll find customer service isn't one of Etsy's strong points.
Good luck.

Re: Human help
since it became difficult to find the links for help, i’ve collected links where sellers mentioned they found help. sometimes these links work, sometimes they do not. some may only work in the USA and/or only work during standard USA business hours (M-F 8-5). in any case, i hope one of these will be useful:
here is the link to the “how to contact support” from the seller’s handbook.
here is a link to initiate chat or email.
here is the link to request a callback.
or try this link or this link to email them.
if you do email them you *should* get an automated reply and once you do, you must reply to that email above the line of asterisks that their automated best guess solutions did not work. all you have to say is something like “i still need help” send the reply, and it should stay active.
