I've been having a handful of issues with etsy's so called "support" and have been waiting for weeks to verify my identity. I understand that is part of the process, but it is very frustrating that I am a valid person that signed up with the incorrect date of birth when I first started. I did not realize how long this would take, and it has been over a week since I've heard from etsy's "support" after I had provided the information that they had asked for and have gotten nothing back from them. I'm losing my mind that I haven't been able to sell on my shop for over a month, and I'm constantly finding dead ends.
I was hoping to find out how long it has taken for others to hear back from Etsy Support. I apparently only have 22 days to verify my information, even though I have spent the last month non stop trying to reach out to someone to verify and confirm my identity. So, how long did you have to wait for a "resolution" from etsy's "support"?
It varies so there is no one answer to your question.
Have you replied back that you still need help? Use one email and reply back.
Unfortunately birth dates are important and a mistake like that may not be as easy to fix as one would like to think.
You can also try social media to see if you can tap their account.
@ModAngie @ModKenneth would you be able to help? Thank you.
I have replied to the email several times and asked when they would respond back, and they was last Monday. I have tried opening new tickets in hopes that will help but it doesn't and they close out the tickets. I wish there was more communication.
@ModAngie or @ModKenneth can you please help me with this? I'm still waiting for a response from this "team"
how did you reach out to etsy support? you said it's been over a week since you heard from etsy. if that contact from them was through email you can reply and ask what's going on. you can also request a phone call through the help page.
I found a link for their chat by googling, but I cannot be logged in to use said chat otherwise email is the only way to contact them, and they don't respond to my emails either. I've attempted providing my phone number for a call back but still nothing.
You say you are a valid person but Etsy needs to verify you and if you provided an incorrect date of birth then that will certainly have muddied the waters.
I did provide the correct the date of birth, though, the one that matched my ID when I provided it. I wish it hadn't taken this long. I wish there was more communication about what was happening rather than keeping me on the dark. An update would be more than appreciated than ghosting me on a weekly basis.
@CraftableFurMom I can't help but notice you have two photos. One with red hair and one with blond hair. Are both of these photos of you?
hey! thank you for asking, they are both me! i am terrible at uploading current pictures of myself and frequently like to dye my hair.
