I don't understand how this is calculated. I was outside of my handling time once in the month of September. I actually mailed the package on time, just forgot to update the tracking number. I don't understand how that brought my percentage down to 91%.
If you didn't put the tracking number in on time it was considered late. Etsys time is UTC so when you enter tracking it has to be entered by a certain time or will turn over to the next day and be late. Using Etsy labels will enter this for you making it convenient and you don't have to worry about it being late. the percentage depends on the art of sales you had for Sept.the more shipments the higher the %.
supposed to be amount of sales not art, ugh
The tracking number has to be entered the day you ship if not using Etsy labels. Etsy labels or Pirateship enter the tracking number for you on the day you select to ship so that saves having to remember to add the tracking the day you actually take the item to the post office.
If you delay till the next day Etsy considers the item not shipped.
@MindysSecondStory : Simply put, on time shipping is initially based on the date you select when you mark the order as completed, and this selection cannot be back-dated so orders need to be marked as completed on the date that they are actually shipped. Most shops probably mark an order as completed (shipped) at the time of label generation rather than after the package is actually shipped.
