I have been waiting for over 3 weeks for Etsy to "verify my identity" with a picture of a government issued ID. I want to know how long it took, because it has not taken the "2-5 days" that they claim it will take. I have been told my situation has been "escalated" because there is more information on the page that I cannot see and someone will reach out to me with more info. I have yet to get an email about more info. In fact, I have been pestering the chat support every other day in hopes I will get more "support" they claim to give. I have money in my shop payments that I can't even direct deposit because they didn't decide to "verify my identity" until AFTER I made my first sale.
I am desperate to get my shop back, so here I am wondering how it took for others to finally get their shop out of vacation mode due to "verifying your identity."
