Is this happening to anyone else? It's making it very hard to shop when you can only see a few words. Hovering over the titles in my own shop still works. But when I do a search and am shopping, it doesn't work. My internet is not the fastest. Most of the time I just keep scrolling instead of taking the time to click on the listing and open it up to see what "Vintage Blue Craquelure Poste...." actually means. This can't be good for sales. Hopefully this is a glitch that gets fixed or a quick test that gets done.
I see the pop up of the entire title on the search pages.
What browser do you use? I just checked Firefox, Chrome and Edge and none of them shows the title.
I'm on a Mac and using Safari.
I'm seeing the entire title in the pop up so yes, maybe a test. There seem to be a number of them running right now. Maybe you are in one and this is related to etsy's new suggestion that titles be shorter.
@MadGirlRetro I'm seeing this today (desktop computer, Chrome). In search results, hovering over Titles does not show the entire Title. Titles are truncated. Just yesterday, I could see lengthy, stuffed Titles, with a lot of repeated words (which supposedly is what Etsy is against). And yet it was consistently like this on Pg. 1.
This truncated Title thing reminds me of last year's Test, where they chopped off Titles after the first comma or special character. Every year, it seems like Etsy screws around with Titles. But I don't like not seeing the entire Title when you hover over it.
Oh, I remember that--when they were cutting off the titles after the commas! It made my titles hard to read and so I spent time editing them and then it changed it back again.
I also don't like not being able to see the entire title. Why make it harder to "see" what the thing is at a glance?
On laptop with Chrome and still seeing whole title in your shop when I hover. So it seems to be a test.
Sooooooooooooooooooo sick of their games!
