This has been a beef of mine for awhile. Why, when listing, and we have the opportunity to scroll down and choose a holiday provided by Etsy they have a ton of holidays to select for some categores and only handful for others? For instance, in one of my shops, if I list a decorative magnet and can pick Mother's Day under "Holidays". If I list a pair of earrings, Mother's Day is not provided. Nor is it provided under "Occassion". Why is this not consistant overall. I have 3 shops and it is the case when I do many listings. Do others find this odd and frustrating? Thanks.
A few years ago, etsy told us that the use of "holidays" is meant for items that are specific to that holiday, not items that CAN be considered for that holiday.
So maybe a magnet that says "Mother" on it works, not all earrings are considered Mother's Day items.
The magnet I mention was of a bird. I have a bunch of them in my shop and none say mother. Also, I can list a mosaic frame and pick Fathers or Mothers day, but not for earrings. Why would one not give earrings, or a necklace or a bracelet, etc to their Mother or Father?
I remember this being an issue six or seven years ago.
I could not list a Valentine bracelet under Valentine's Day. Like, necklaces and earrings were included but not bracelets.
This is just one of the reasons I quit using those Attributes entirely. They seem to make no difference in my sales.
