Here we go again.... (Please Help.....!!!!)

Hi All!

I opened my shop several months ago and have successfully completed 10 sales, yet my bank account has still not been verified. I am extremely concerned, as I have received no meaningful support from Etsy.

For months, my account was stuck in "pending verification", preventing me from changing my bank details or taking any action. Despite multiple attempts to seek assistance, I received no response from Etsy. The only time Etsy responded was after I posted my issue in this forum, where community members helped me understand the situation. Shortly after that, Etsy verified my bank account.

However, a few days later, Etsy Support informed me that they could not deposit my funds, without providing any explanation. Thanks to the Etsy community, I learned that this issue likely arose because I am based in Canada, with a Canadian bank that offers both CAD and USD accounts. Since Etsy allows the option to enter a USD account, I had initially used that. However, according to others in the forum, Etsy does not actually support this setup, despite providing the option!!!!...???. As a result, I updated my bank details to a CAD account.

Now, it has been more than seven business days, and my bank account still has not been verified. Given my past experience, I am deeply concerned that Etsy will once again take months to process this request.....

I am not putting any effort in my shop for a while now, and I have left some of my listings inactive because it is not convenient for me to have any sales right now. It’s very sad to have to say that... I would really like to go back to my shop.

Can you please advise me on what I can do to ensure my bank account is verified as soon as possible? Based on my previous experience, it seems that raising my issue in a public forum was the only way to receive support from Etsy, which is frustrating and discouraging.

I really appreciate any guidance or assistance you can provide.

I'm sorry to say that I can think of no advice to give you. This sort of thing goes on here all the time!

One thing I did learn is to NEVER EVER try to change anything.

Etsy only seems to work seamlessly when the set up is uncomplicated.  Seven days in the Etsyverse is not very long at all. 

Have you already received the small deposits and entered the figures into the boxes?

Thank you JJewellerySuppliesUK. Yes, I know 2 weeks it is not a very long time for Etsy, but I have been trying to do this for months now....

I still didn't receive any small deposit, though I am Canadian and my bank account is Canadian, so I think it is different from a US bank account. The strange thing is I have been verified twice, but after the first time they put again 'pending verification'. The second time I was verified it seemed all fine, and they were even sending me my payments, but they sent an email saying they weren't able to deposit them (probably because of the different currency).  Now I've put my Canadian bank with Canadian currency, and I am still waiting to see if they have reviewed my statement. The problem is the lack of communication, and they don't say what is going on or what should I do. And for months the bank details are stuck with 'pending verification'... But I am very grateful for the Etsy community chat, where I had and I am currently receiving help through other sellers, that is incredible.

I’m so sorry to hear you’re going through that. I couldn’t imagine waiting months for funds that I should have received for sales. That is very unfortunate. I do not have any advice for you with your banking info but I am new to the Etsy community threads I myself and an issue and continue to have the same issue as when adding new items to your shop the core details Are frozen to the point where you cannot press and see all of the buttons in order to continue or to save the draft unless you are using an android phone and And or a iPad in vertical mode, Not an iPhone I have an android phone and was able to create a new listing because I was able to put my chrome browser on desktop site mode instead of mobile site mode. I heard this problem started a few months ago so just giving you a little heads up now that if you are going to be reposting stuff that you get a heads up for when you start creating new listings again. This problem has been going on since August so if you run into that issue, just know that you can use a computer and there shouldn’t be a problem but as long as your laptop is in desktop site mode and your phone is android you should be able to create a listing, I also have an iPhone, which is the reason I ended up with the problem I always post from my iPhone and unfortunately, I cannot figure out how to create the listing so had to use the android and do the desktop site mode for that in order to actually create the listing and save the drafts, but my thread is about the fact that this issue has been going on for me for a few weeks but come to find out yesterday that it’s been going on for months so again sorry for the long message but figured I’d give you a heads up in case  you started new items again and hope you get your funds soon!

@LoretoCreationsArt   I am sorry you are experiencing this grief.  The currency difference should have nothing to do with anything.  I am in Canada, and I sell in U.S. funds.  I have received my deposits smoothly every week for over 17 years.  Something else is wrong.  I hope it gets sorted out for you soon!  We can't do much here.  Only etsy can fix it.

@LoretoCreationsArt  NO one in the forums can fix the problem with your shop re verification. Can you clarify something? I looked at  4 listings, 1 ships from Cananda, 1 ships from New York and 2 ship from different cities in California.  Are some listings shipping from Canada and the other print on demand ship from USA?

You are right SugarTaffySoap, no one in the forums can fix my problem. But I have received input in what can be the problem, which is more than I have received from Etsy, and Etsy has reached to me after some postings in the forum, so that is also really helpful. 

Yes, I have some providers from the US and some from Canada. Is this something wrong? I have been told you can use any providers. I sell only to Canada and US though

You can use outside providers (production partners) as long as the item you are selling is designed by you and  they manufacture them exclusively for you.

However, you do need to list them in your shop under the link that says "production partner"

Thanks, ThePurplePuppy. Yes, all are our designs, and the providers only take care of the production and shipping of the products. How do I put them in the link that says 'production partner'? I have no idea how to do that...

Thanks BagmakerSupply and ThePurplePuppy. I have checked and I see I already have Printify as a production partner. I think I had put that information since the beginning, when I opened my shop. So I guess it should be good then?

 

Thanks also for the other replies I received. I just received an email from Etsy saying my bank account is verified!! I have to wait now some days until they deposit my money. We'll see if it finally works out...... I am really hoping for it!
