Hello there
Thanks for taking time to read me.
1 week ago, Etsy deactivated my messaging.
I think due to too much messages.
In fact, I was helping an old lady with her new Etsy shop by doing for her a logo and a banner for free. So I might have send too much message by asking her opinions about the banners and prodding her tips. I didn’t do anything wrong by helping the madam and she wanted the help, in fact, she really wanted this help she even contacted me by other platform to finish the work and to help her since I wasn’t answering after being block.
My shop is new too, so I was only doing that with all kindness.
Now, messaging is important to me as my shop is new and I am trying to respond as fast as I can to potentiel client.
Also, I don’t want it to affect my rate if I don’t answer.
I send 3 messages to Etsy staff, also chat with the staff, they all told me that they have a dedicated team that will contact me by mail.
But it’s been 1 week and still no news.
what should I do….
You just have to wait it out. It usually takes 2 weeks. If all you sent were messages to one customer, that's unlikely to trigger a muting. Were you sending other unsolicited messages as well?
@VintageRescueSquad @Not not at all! I only contact this lady and respond question to 2 potential clients
Did those 2 "potential clients" contact you first?
@Yes! i only answered questions
Sorry to hear this. All you can do is wait for Etsy to get back to you or they will just re-activate your messages without telling you so keep checking. You could try a callback. See if this link works for you: https://help.etsy.com/hc/en-us/requests/new?segment=selling#issue_sell_manage_listings-callback
The link is working thank you so much
But I already chat 3 time with staff and they all told me that they have a dedicated team for that….
Sometimes when chat does not work, something else will. One can only try.
Good point
