I just added a new credit card [VISA], to the billing address, as the old one has expired.
Despite this, I cannot select the new card as a new billing address, despite the fact that the cards are of the same type. In addition, I cannot remove the old card from the list, only the new one.
What can I do? could someone help me?

Just edit the old card
the card number has changed, including the expiration date.
I had to change it because it was about to expire, so the number and expiration date is different from the expired one.

Not sure what you mean by a new card and billing address - those are two different things.
Shop Manager - Finances - Payment Settings - Billing (tab at the top) - this is where you add your new credit card - highlight to make it the default, then you can edit the old one, and you'll see the option to delete.
For your Address - Finances - Payment Settings - Address (top tab) - is your mailing address where Etsy will send you stuff, like 1099s
If you want your return address for shipping orders, that's in Settings - Shipping Settings - Shipping Label Options
One other place, in your YOU profile,, to change your receiving address when you buy stuff on Etsy.
I think those are all the places - if you want to change your CC for buying stuff, you can only change that the next time you purchase and check out as a Buyer.

I have already entered a new credit card, for billing, because the old one expires this month.
Once inserted, I cannot select it as the card currently in use (the dot does not appear to select it) and I cannot delete the old one, but only the new one.

You have uncheck the old one first as the default
I cannot deselect or delete the old card. Not even if I delete the new one...

@VDVorteX Click edit next to the new card
At the bottom of the pop up box is a square with "use for billing" check it - save.
Now, click edit on the old card - it should show a delete button.
*if you've checked the use for billing box on the new card, but can't delete the old card, refresh the page*
In the "edit" window of the new card, no square with the word "use for billing" appears.
The only thing I see is a square to confirm that the billing address is the same (my home address), the expiration date, the name on the card.
The buttons allow me to: -Save your changes
-Delete the card
-Cancel the operation.
Obviously, there is no delete button in the old card.

EDIT:
by the way, once you click use for billing and save, it moves that card to the top of the list.
Double check you're not clicking edit on the now new card to delete it.

I've already tried ... none of this works.
The thing I don't understand is why? I am using the same type of card, just renewing the old one they gave me another one with a different card number and the expiration extended.
What if I remove the old card through the purchase process? While confirming a purchase, I can delete cards from the billing card list and select others.

That doesn't remove it from billing. Those are held elsewhere in your account.
I have the same problems with maps - they are not changed by switching the button on the left to primary and secondary. And the main map does not have delete buttons.

I contacted Etsy's support, but besides giving me the process for a regular insertion of a new billing card (I had already done so), I have not received any real solutions, for now. Is it possible that there is no telephone technical support? Etsy should protect the sellers, as part of the profits go to the company. I can't proceed to sales unless I fix this bug first.
I had the same problem. I was finally able to correct it by using my cell phone.

@ChristmasIsLove I’ve tried all that, even phoned Etsy support who transferred it to another dept, checked lots of things and still didn’t work and now I’m waiting to hear from another dept.
All I want to do is add my new Visa Debit card that has replaced my old one that expired at the end of March.
