Helllpp!!!
my new Etsy sellers account has been hacked
I have 2fa but the hacker somehow has been able to login still as I can see on my 2fa list. I don’t know what to do? I have changed the password twice, 2fa is reinstated and I have now deleted the account and it’s still open and the hacker is still logging in. I am so disappointed by this as I know the hacker is accessing my account, my personal information, potential buyers etc. but also that I have had to delete the account but that isn’t even solving the solution?

Out of curiosity, is this your wording or something written and posted by the hackers?
"All animal pieces used are collected with intention, collected and processed from road kill animals with a deep reverence and consent with the spirit of the animal."
(Surely consent and reverence also on the part of the ones who ran over the roadkill, thus providing crafting materials? They must operate under the same rules of mysticism as the animal spirits. Which means they were guided by the Universe to squash those animals. With reverence, of course.)
You need to find another device to log into your shop from.
Obviously whatever you are using has been hacked (keyword logging or some such) and they are seeing everything you do.
Good luck.
THIS^^^^^^
Anytime you suspect hacking use a different device--even if you have to go to the library to do so.
Keystoke loggers can read every letter you type.
a few ways this might be happening the simplest being you have a virus on your computer specifically a RAT/remote access trojan.
other ways this could have happened some how you clicked a link and followed instructions to add malicious code into your browser that allowed them to capture and spoof cookies and or other information and after gaining access.
or by using a Zero day hack in other word a vulnerability that has no fix and at this time may not be even known by microsoft or other companies that made whatever OS you are using. if this method was used they may gain access again, note windows has a number of Zero day hacks some that are public and others that are not.
Change your passwords from a different computer and contact etsy support if you are able to still access your account from another computer
most email services have a way to check ipAddresses the hacker may also have access to your email address change that password as well use passwords that are 15 characters long as this will prevent brute force/password guessing attacks of your email password
any Ip address that is not your you should be able to force logout on at least your email through security settings
@HerSoulfulHands how do you know you have been hacked? I visit your shop but nothing strange was there. Are you sure someone is accessing your account?
