My account has been hacked, items listed, and a sale made. I've tried to change my password and close the store but etsy won't allow it until the fake bill is paid. Help please. Support seems to be very poor.
Looks like the problem is solved. Viewed your shop with the one Patriots' listing one minute, next minute the shop was now uh oh closed.
Oh no... that is awful! I came to the forums to see if there was an influx in this happening recently to folks.
The reason for my suspicion is that there is an influx of fake/fraudulent listings for things like Blue Sunflower seeds (which do not exist in nature). Some of these listings are showing up on what appear to be older accounts with very few sales and were accounts that have never sold garden related items.
So it is possible that accounts can successfully be hacked into, someone changing the account information and listing items?
I hate to see buyers taken advantage of.
I was reading the forums on my tablet, not signed in. I saw a listing in the OP's shop, and it had nothing to do with woodworking.
Below the listing, in the about section, there were questionable links, with a note to visit those links for 50% discounts on items.
Glad to see the scammer got shut down, however it happened.
I have seen this as well recently. There have been listings (which I reported) that state "do not order on ETSY as your order will not be filled" instead please go to our website to purchase with a discount.
I looked a couple of days later and the listings hadnt been removed but I am sure it takes ETSY time to look at all of the reported listings.
Yeah, I guess this is one of the latest scams- they need more eyes to review reported listings.
