I have just sold a scarf to the US. I have free shipping set to everywhere else, but increase the prices by $25 to cover the postage from Australia, because Etsy seems to think this is a good idea. In the tile on the Listings page, it says that the price in Australia is $66 and to the US $91. But when I click on the sold listing, the Everywhere else price is coming up as $66. So my US customer has purchased this scarf for $66 and is getting free shipping, worth $25. Does anyone know how this may have happened? As a consequence I am selling this scarf, that took many hours to make and $30 worth of wool to make, for a profit of $7. I don't want this to happen again, so have checked all my other listings, and they all seem to be correct on the actual listing and tile on the listing page. Anyone know why there is a discrepancy between the price on the tile, and the price on the actual listing?

Re: Glitch in pricing
@Thingswelike2knit Double check your shipping profile. If you go into your listings page, you can check each one pretty easily by selecting them on the left. You can then edit them as needed. The great thing is that they seem to stick out like a sore thumb when searched this way.

Re: Glitch in pricing
@Thingswelike2knit I'm not fully convinced you have your shop set up the way you want. I looked at the lovely grey and white scarf, which is $49.75 with free shipping to the US. That is a far cry from $91!
**Edited to add: I'd ditch the free international shipping! People expect to pay for shipping. Are you able to do calculated shipping in your shop from Australia?

Re: Glitch in pricing
I agree. I didn't do it for ages, but Etsy kept pushing it, and I was getting very few sales from overseas. But somehow I think it isn't working. Thanks for your help.

Re: Glitch in pricing
Thank you for pointing that out. What a mess. Etsy has just cost me $25 and I've had to go through and make sure all my prices and shipping profiles are correct.

Re: Glitch in pricing
OP, cancel and refund that sale. Explain to your buyer that through an error not planned, no shipping was shown. We in the USA know we need to pay for shipping from Australia or New Zealand and most of us would understand and repurchase the item.

Re: Glitch in pricing
I ended up contacting etsy via the chat function on the seller help page. They admitted it was a technical glitch. After supplying screen shots for proof, they have credited me with the cost of shipping the item. I have cancelled the free shipping guarantee and altered my pricing and shipping profiles. It only took 2 hours of my time.

Re: Glitch in pricing
I'm really hoping etsy can "refund" me as well the money I am now out. This is crazy. And crazier they can't seem to be able to handle fixing this.

The thread @BagmakerSupply linked to has been closed without even a note from admin. I wonder why.
