Gift notes not coming through

Customers leaving gift notes  - the gift note not showing on seller end!!

I have had customers contact me asking who sent them a gift - I always aask the buyer if it is ok to give out the details - and they said they added a note!!!!

Lots of people check the Gift box but don't enter a message. They think it will save them on import fees if it is going to a foreign country, or maybe they just don't want their significant other to know what they spent.

NO - this is not the case

I have been on Etsy for over 10 years - I am not new to how people buy on Etsy

This actually might be an issue in my shop as well. Normally half my orders have gift notes. Today I shipped one one. I’ll look into this with Etsy as well.

This has been happening to me for a few weeks. I’ve been back and forth with Etsy support, but they are saying there’s not an issue, but clearly there is for some of us. It’s frustrating and time consuming having to contact buyers, but it’s the only option as Etsy don’t seem to see the problem. Please report to Etsy support, the more who do the more they might take it seriously.

Happening to me too …. Customer has complained that I didn’t add her gift message to her order.

I'm having this problem, in 2024. Not my first gift note, but it is not printing on the packing slip. I will do a hand written one as a work around, and will shut down and reboot system. Hope that works going forward.
