Gift Notes differ between Mobile App and Web

I raised this issue this morning with Etsy and haven't heard anymore since so thought I would ask on here. Has anyone noticed over the last few weeks the website version of Etsy and Mobile App version of etsy show slightly different gift notes from buyers?

The web version shows a name after the gift note and the mobile app version does not show a name.

I was trying to ask Etsy how am I to know which is right, I think the mobile app version is right as I had to ask a buyer the other day out of confusion. I will paste an example:

Web version shows - 'Happy Birthday Auntie Kaz, love from Steve x -- Janet Leigh'

Mobile Version shows - 'Happy Birthday Auntie Kaz, love from Steve x'

Yes you at first think well clearly that is just the buyers name, for that one I knew it clearly wouldn't have the buyers name after it, as the gift is from Steve. However on an order today the gift note on the web version shows 

'Happy 50th from us all. Xx -- Sally and the boys. Xx' -  This one made me question which is right.

I copy and paste my gift note messages from the Etsy seller page on the web version as I work from a laptop, so I do not print packaging slips which does seem to print the gift note as showing on the mobile version.  My worry is I incorrectly put a name or miss a name on a buyers gift note. I know often Americans do use --NAME when writing gift notes.

It is all very odd and would love to hear someone else has noticed this and not that I am going slowly insane alone over here.

Following the convo with etsy earlier, which took about 50 minutes it sounded as though the web version is a new feature with this random name showing after a gift message, and it may be rolled out onto Mobile App soon, although I cannot see how or why this is a feature and what use it has? You know the buyers name from the order! Let me know if I am missing something obvious here.
