Gift Message Included selected, but no message is showing up!

FYI: there seems to be a glitch with the gift messaging option. One of my orders shows the Etsy icon and note "gift message included", but the order does not show a gift message in the order body as it usually is, nor does it show up when I attempt to print.  I've messaged my customer to get the copy for her message and will print it separately, so that's handled at my end.

But just a heads-up to Etsy tech support that this is an issue. Many thanks.

I had a problem with it too. I could see the message when I clicked on it in the order, orange message, but it wouldn’t print anything. I just used a blank note card and wrote message.

if someone toggles the gift and doesn't include a message or send me a convo, I ship it like a regular order.

it is their call to send a gift, it isn't my responsibility to try to suss out what they really want. They need to inform us shop folks.

finally, I do think that some believe that enhances their purchase by including packaging or a freebie. I've heard folks say that they always make it a 'gift' because it is a type of 'gift' to themselves.

JMO. If someone does indicate gift and say 'hey please put a 'with love from Aunt Shari' I do just that...but otherwise? Nope.

This is not a printing issue, as no message shows up to print. It's not my first day at the rodeo here, and I know the difference between marking "GIFT" and adding a "GIFT MESSAGE." This order clearly shows the icon for and says a "GIFT MESSAGE" is included, but it's not there at all.

This is STILL an existing problem. Why hasn't it been fixed?

Etsy has time with useless things but no time to fix programming errors!
