Hi, Etsy!
I have "2 new notification", but when I go inside the dashboard there are nothing to see - no new updates , no new orders or new messages... Can you please remove it?
Thanks a lot!

I see these sometimes ... refreshing sometimes makes the ghost notifications go away.
I do experience what feels like anomalies with Etsy ... and with other web systems. Rebooting, clearing out cookies and if persistent, resetting my router seems to fix the problem.

Re: Ghost notifications.
We are only other sellers here and can't remove that. It might be an Etsy notification.

Re: Ghost notifications.
Does Etsy staff don't read this at all? I remember times when they were pretty actively reading and even participating in conversations...

Re: Ghost notifications.
This is a peer to peer support forum , you are not communicating with Etsy support here . We are other shop owners trying to help you.
Is it an orange dot in your account image ? if so you need to access through the account image icon not the shop icon

Re: Ghost notifications.
On Windows there is a command called 'Disk Cleanup' which you can use to clean out junk like cookies. I use it whenever things don't seem to be working right or seem to be sluggish. I also use Norton Utilities which has a cleanup option. Seems to fix lots of things. Must be that the things going on in my computer are as messy as my kids in the kitchen.

Do you have feedback to leave? Sometimes that shows up and gets confusing.

Re: Ghost notifications.
Scam messages are easy to spot:
- Are not sent from the "From Etsy" folder.
- Do not show the yellow "From Etsy" badge.
- Do not show the little orange "E" badge sitting outside the icon walls. Nobody can copy this.
- Usually use the Etsy logo as the sender icon, which is easily copied.

Re: Ghost notifications.
Those are scammers.Mark as spam and do not engage. If the message disappeared it is because the real Etsy removed it. Real Etsy messages will be in your Etsy message folder but note I have heard that doesn't appear on the app so use another way of viewing your messages.

Re: Ghost notifications.
Etsy now posts an orange circle under your dash icon for things like "Sign up to Turbo Tax" - it used to just display for orders, now it displays for everything.

Re: Ghost notifications.
Just open each one individually, and hit the back button, and they will disappear. Don't click on anything unless you want to add more money to ETSY's coffers
