Free ship at $35

Hi, this seemed to be the only forum I am able to access, so I will try this here...

Are there any plans to increase the minimum $35 for free shipping anytime soon?  The cost of everything is up tremendously since the tariffs went into effect, and I feel like this should increase as well.  What do you think?

I agree with you, but Etsy hasn't discussed this even though sellers have. I don't think Etsy will be increasing the amount because other platforms offer free shipping at $35 and over such as Amazon and Temu. Etsy won't be the first one to make this necessary increase.

Etsy's average basket purchase was the lowest of all the major platforms

they have the $35 FSG tool, to USA only, to encourage people to add a bit more to their basket, for free shipping.

If they set it too high, then people won't add the extras in, and the sales will be lower.

It's nothing to do with how shipping costs or prices have changed, it's all about encouraging buyers to add the extra items for free shipping, so they will buy more

When etsy thinks it will increase sales, if they increase the $35 fsg, I am sure they will.

Great point.  The FSG is set according to buyer perception, not according to seller expenses.
