Forum Change - No Edit on Posts

If anyone has noticed today, the reply box has changed.

There's an "email me when someone replies" stuck under a "additional options" link arrow, which is checked as default.....

(Despite my own forum settings having "do not email me" saved.)

And there is no longer Edit Post in the right hand arrow menu on your reply post.

I had to reply again to a post pointing out I'd misspelled a word, changing the context of the post.

EDIT: You can edit your original thread message, as seen by this edit, but cannot edit reply posts posted in other threads.

Plus replying to my own post creates a new post that isn't nested. Great.

And now all of a sudden they show as nested. I think I'll just back out of the forums for the day until they sort out this mess.

@EightMileVintage  Yes. It effectively freezes the page when you are typing and post, and you have to refresh to see the other replies and your post nested correctly.

I noticed as of today, the Forum changed.  When I click into a Thread, "Reply" is greyed out at the bottom (my initial reaction was that the Thread was closed by Admin, but that wasn't the case).  When you click the box to type, the greyed out "Reply" turns black.
I did see the box to check "Email me when someone replies (under Additional options, which is under my post). I can't see checking this every time you want to see if someone responds to you (normally, I would always look at the Notifications bell top of page, to see that someone "atted" me).  If they responded without "atting" me, I would normally see it at a later date.

I'm not getting forum notifications that I got any replies on my own thread.

Yes, when you type a reply and post, any links, including your username are orange and it will tell you there are X (let's say 5) replies. Which is weird, cause you can only see like 2 not 5. You have to refresh the page to then see any other replies. 

It's like it's freezing the page while you post, and will not update until you refresh.

I still can't @ anyone. 

So all these new 'features' and I still don't have basic abilities. 

And have to remember to uncheck the email opt-in every single time. 

Unless someone knows what email they come from? If it's one not used for anything else I'll just let them send one then block them. That way I don't have to actually remember to uncheck it every single time.

@audreytherese  I've forgotten to uncheck that for all my posts.

I haven't received emails about replies at all, probably due to the fact I actually have those turned off in my forum settings.

That's good to know! I also turned off any push or email notifications, so I wonder if those will override this checkbox in here. 

Or, they just haven't synced it up to start sending them yet. You may still get like 500 of those emails at 3am.
