Forced holiday mode

My Etsy store has been placed on holiday mode this morning without warning and I'm not sure how to fix it.

- I've not had any emails from Etsy (I've checked the junk folder)

- I haven't had any sales in months

- I have no outstanding payments

- All designs are my own creations and don't include any copyright

- All my info is showing as verified and I have not been asked to upload or confirm any additional information.

Re: Forced holiday mode

When Etsy imposes vacation mode, it's usually a banking issue.

Re: Forced holiday mode

I've read that but I haven't changed my bank info and it still shows as verified, they also haven't asked me for any information

Re: Forced holiday mode

It just happened to me as well.  Same situation.  I haven't changed anything or received any notifications.

Re: Forced holiday mode

Good idea.  Just checked and credit card is current and good for a few more years.

Any outstanding orders?  Late shipping?

Re: Forced holiday mode

This is the message at the top of my dashboard:

Your shop will stay in Vacation Mode while we review your info

This means you won't be able to receive new orders until we finish verifying your info (which usually takes up to 48 hours after you uploaded your document). No need to do anything else right now—we'll reach out if we need more details from you.

I do not see any mention of which document they may need, if they need one.  I do have several open orders I am working on.  They are all on schedule, nothing is late.  Every order has been shipped out ahead of schedule and I have over 13k sales.

Re: Forced holiday mode

I was able to get in touch with support and I was told to wait until I get an email from the team that is doing the review.  They did not see anything that I should be or should have submitted.  Hopefully this is just routine and it will be automatically reopened.  If anyone else is facing the same issue please reply so we can keep eachother updated.

Re: Forced holiday mode

This happened to me, just over a week ago now. How did you get your shop back or did it just come back on its own?

Re: Forced holiday mode

It may be outstanding orders, and once they are shipped, this will resolve itself.  Take a look at vacation mode settings.  There may be a message there saying that you were put on vacation mode so you will have time to complete current orders and stay is good standing.

Re: Forced holiday mode

Hello, yes I am back online and to be honest I have no idea why as I did nothing and still haven't heard from Etsy.

I just heard the ching-ching noise from my phone and saw I had made a sale.

A few days earlier I had re-entered and re-verified the deposit amount for my bank account. Even though it was already verified.

Perhaps this helped.

Re: Forced holiday mode

This thread comes as a ray of hope. We are facing the same issue.

We have been running the shop for 3+years without a glitch. We are highly rated on Etsy too. But the shop has been put in holiday mode.

Request other merchants who had their shop back, to kindly inform:

1. How did they get their shape back online

2. How long did this whole process take?

Any input would be super-helpful. Thanks in advance!

@CosyCotesHandmade

I'm glad to see that your store is active again. Congratulations on this comeback!

Could you please describe how you managed to get your shop reinstated and how long it was disabled in the end? Thank you.
