Forced Vacation Mode

Jump to solution

Hi everyone,

I noticed my shop was suddenly put into vacation mode without any warning, and I’m struggling to understand what’s going on or how to fix it. Here’s the message I saw:

“We put your shop on pause

To help you manage your current orders and keep your shop in good standing, we’ve temporarily paused your shop. During this time, buyers will see your shop in vacation mode.”

I’ve tried reaching out to Etsy support but haven’t gotten any helpful response yet. I don’t have any overdue orders, policy violations, or disputes that I’m aware of. My tax info is all up to date, ID is verified, and credit card / bank account on file is also up to date.

Has anyone else experienced this? If so, how did you resolve it? Any insight or advice would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks in advance!

Have you had more orders than usual?

Have you had any take downs or items removed by Etsy?

Have you shipped items late?

Did you verify your ID?

Have you had any cases opened against your shop by buyers?

There are so many reasons this may be happening - IP theft, late shipments, complaints from customers, breaching service standards...

I have never received any complaints from customers, and I always ship my orders within 24 hours of receiving them. When I started this business in 2021, Etsy clarified which cans I wasn’t allowed to sell, and I’ve strictly adhered to their guidelines ever since. Honestly, the only thing I can think of is that I experienced a significant increase in sales on the day my shop was placed in vacation mode.

All the listings in your Sold and reviews contain trademarks (Coca Cola, Pepsi, Dr Pepper and so on). Have you checked if you need licenses to sell such items?

When I started my shop in 2021, Etsy would notify me about specific cans I wasn’t allowed to list, and I’ve always strictly followed their guidelines. All of the cans I use are upcycled, repurposed to give them a new life instead of being discarded.
