Forced Holiday Mode

Hello Etsy Community & Moderators,

I am reaching out in desperation and frustration after spending four years building my Etsy shop with hard work, dedication, and trust from over 4,000 customers. I have been a Star Seller for two consecutive years, consistently delivering quality, excellent customer service, and timely shipments. But now, everything has come to a complete stop—and I don’t know why.

A few months ago, Etsy requested business verification details. I was fully prepared to comply, but life took an unexpected turn—I was involved in an accident and had to be hospitalized. This was beyond my control. Between recovery and gathering all the required documents, it took me nearly two months to finalize everything.

Once I submitted every single piece of information Etsy requested, I expected my shop to remain active, but instead, Etsy placed it in Holiday Mode. It has now been 14 days since my business details were fully updated, but my shop remains paused, with no response from Etsy.

Why This Is Unfair & Needs Immediate Action:

I followed all of Etsy’s requirements and provided every requested detail.
My shop is fully verified and compliant, yet it remains on hold.
This unexplained restriction is harming my livelihood and undoing years of effort, trust, and success.
I had no control over the delay—I was recovering from a serious accident.
I have received zero support or updates from Etsy, despite reaching out multiple times.

I have built this shop from the ground up with integrity and commitment, and now I feel completely abandoned. I am asking Etsy to review my case with empathy and urgency. I want my shop reinstated immediately so I can continue serving my loyal customers who are also left waiting.

Etsy, please listen to your sellers. This is my livelihood, my passion, and something I’ve spent years perfecting. I urge Etsy to remove Holiday Mode from my shop and allow me to operate as I rightfully should.

If any fellow sellers have faced similar issues, please share your experiences. I hope Etsy Support steps in before it’s too late.

The forum has had many complaints about identification issues. If you received an email from Etsy about this issue, just respond to that one email stating that you need help.  Don't submit multiple tickets.  Some sellers report they have been waiting for over a month or more and their issue regarding ID's is still not resolved.
