Favorites added to my list that I did not fave

Has anyone else had unsolicited favorites added to their list? I happened to notice it today as a couple of the sellers whose items that were on my favorites list sent me coupons. I also received emails from Etsy this morning about orders I didn't place that stated they could not fulfill the orders. I checked the sellers and their shops don't exist. What the heck is going on? I suspect this is spamming of which I have never had happen before.

That sounds like you may have been hacked? Or a scammer.

What can I do to rectify the situation?

First  I would change my password immediately and use 2factor.I would check my account info>security and see if anyone else has been accessing your account. Then try to contact Etsy and ask WTH is happening. I would also run a security scan on my device.

I agree with this, it definitely sounds like your account was compromised.

I would immediately follow the steps hopeandjoy laid out. 

Also go through your account's purchase history and see if there are more purchases there that you didn't make.

there was someone the other day who said one of their unused accounts had been taken over by scammers to run scams on other sellers, The favs and purchases you didn't make  that got canceled seems similar.

Thank you for the advice! I have reset my password and enabled 2-step verification. Hopefully that will solve the issue. Darn predatory scammers! There are always dirtbags out there looking to cause grief and hardship for others!

If anyone is reaching out  to you saying they are Etsy don't believe them unless the message is in your Etsy message file.
