Facebook link "opted out of platform" error -- I think I know why it's happening.

In the security tab of my shop settings, it shows my account is linked to the FB account I deleted years ago.
There's an X to delete the link (I'm guessing), but it doesn't do anything for me.
In my account settings, the option to add a FB account is there, but I can't.

I'm guessing the two are connected, and I'm curious if it's the same for other people experiencing the same error.

Nope!  The problem exists because Etsy is slowly dropping the integrations they used to offer with many company websites.  You can still integrate your Etsy shop with some websites, but it won't be long before that is no longer possible.  Facebook is just one those sites that is causing major issues ... Pinterest is another one.  There are a few areas within your shop dashboard where you can add your SM accounts in order to share listings, but as many other sellers have found, some of those sites are proving to be very troublesome lately.  Best of luck if you can get it to work, but as of late, it is now best to just copy & paste your listings url into a new post directly on the SM website.

I don't think so. I'm pretty sure that it's because of what I've found. After all, the problem has been happening to me for years; I'm sure that if Etsy was "slowly" phasing it out, then it would be phased out already.
