Although I sent my orders on time in December, my rate in the shipping time area, which was 97-99% for two years, dropped to 79% and my store has now lost its star seller badge.
I contacted Etsy Support 3-4 times in December about this situation and reported incorrect cargo tracking numbers that appeared to be delayed, but the problem was not resolved. Finally, I prepared data containing the shipping dates, cargo company and tracking numbers of all orders that were said to be delayed and sent it to the Etsy support team. I received feedback that the engineering team would look into the situation. I hope there are no other stores experiencing the same problem I have, and I hope that the comparison table I have prepared will help solve this problem.
Etsy rarely changes anything to do with star seller and I would be most surprised if this issue ever gets resolved - sorry!
I suspect that sometimes the issue is between the carrier's systems and Etsy's. Sometimes, the systems don't sync up correctly.
I do think it's a good idea to report these issues though so that Etsy can investigate and do what it can on its side to prevent or minimize issues.
At CVS, orders I ship on time and even orders I ship ahead of time show up as late, and my on-time delivery rate is still decreasing! This is really frustrating. As you said, I have been carrying the star seller badge for two years and I have protected it since the first day I received the star seller badge. I hope this error will be noticed and corrected as soon as possible.
Is your carrier recognized by Aftership? When you entered the tracking did the system change the carrier name? Sometimes this happens which means Etsy does not recognize the shipping.
Are you shipping within your processing time frame? If you wait til the last day of processing and the carrier does not scan in the item then it is considered late. The carrier has to scan it in and the item be in transit within the processing time frame.
your problem is you are using brokers, and they have different companies, and tracking numbers, for different legs of the journey
you have to have the real tracking number, with the real shipper, and postal type, entered before the ship date , or 3 days after you marked as shipped, whichever is the soonest
and they have to be available on etsys dropdown, and tracked by aftership.
This is a common problem with sellers from Turkey, who use this type of shipping method.
