Etsy website not loading correctly on iMac - intermittent problem
Afternoon,
Essentially after entering 'Etsy' in the search engine, the front page appears very quickly, then nothing else works as expected. The mouse doesn't trigger a hand, therefore I can't select an image to view or get into my shop. Forcing a reload doesn't correct the problem. Safari reports that the web page is not responding, that some elements on the page are not functioning as expected.
I have also experienced the 'stats' error mentioned elsewhere , at more or less the same time as this error began.
Is this just a Mac problem or are PC users also effected?
I wonder if someone could take look at this and post a reply here.
Thanks.

@SmallDevotionsSupply The stats issue is completely different and has been going on for everyone for a few days.

That sounds like a device, browser, or ISP problem. Are you using a battery-powered mouse? If so, try replacing the battery. Have you done all the standard fixes, like clearing cache, trying a different browser, rebooting your device and router?

Thanks for the reply. In trying to briefly outline the problem, I didn't mention that it only exists with the Etsy website. Everything else works well.

Try unplugging your router and wait about 10 seconds. Plug it back in and wait for the green light.

Re: Etsy website not loading correctly on iMac - intermittent problem
Over the past few weeks there have been threads mentioned a lagging keyboard or typing issue on Etsy. They were not experiencing a lag on other websites at that time.
Only on Etsy. These testing periods screw up everything.

Re: Etsy website not loading correctly on iMac - intermittent problem
Safari is supported but you might need to upgrade to the latest version. There are some additional tips here: https://help.etsy.com/hc/en-us/articles/115015654428-How-to-Resolve-a-Technical-Issue
Safari 15.6.1 seems to work fine for me on OS Catalina (10.15.7)
I recommend installing Google Chrome and using that - that's my default browser on my Mac mini. The only problem I have is viewing my sales from my shop front, but I can access them from my shop manager.

I'm also using Safari 15.6.1 on Catalina 10.15.7. But I may move to Google Chrome later this week.

Re: Etsy website not loading correctly on iMac - intermittent problem
As of about 6 months ago I started having major issues with Etsy loading properly as well. Same currently updated MacBook as I've been using for the past 3 years! Same Safari search engine etc..! It will load photos randomly and many photos will just turn into colored lines once I click on them. I don't have this issue with any other site I have ever visited.
It has driven my shopaholic business away over to other sites. Its just too annoying and frustrating to try to shop on Etsy!
This is a site problem and not our browsers otherwise I would be experiencing this problem else where!
Why Etsy is not taking care of what I suspect is some outdated software on their end is really neglectful for all their sellers!

Re: Etsy website not loading correctly on iMac - intermittent problem
I'm utilizing two Mac's (laptop & desktop) with no issues. I'm using Safari with macOS Ventura. Sometimes I use Chrome too. If there is a recent update available which hasn't been applied, applying it may help.
If an older Mac is being used which can't utilize the newer updates it's possible this is the problem. I recall reading some past posts about this. The older operating systems were not compatible with Etsy. Hopefully this isn't the issue. If so, I'd imagine there is a work around option. Looking up this exact problem/resolution online might be helpful?
If none of this is relevant, the issue might be on Etsy's end? It might be useful to contact them?

Re: Etsy website not loading correctly on iMac - intermittent problem
Hi all,
Thanks for the input from all of you and I must apologise for not replying sooner. The issue resolved it self - why? No idea, nothing changed at my end but everything is working as expected.
Regards,
Chriscb
