Hi, I'm writing here because Etsy chat hasn't been working for me for 2 weeks, no one is answering me there.
So it happened to me, what happened to many others, regarding the unsolicited . Which is not true, because we write to the customer very intensively, because I wanted to write to him, regarding his package, the customer thanked me for following up.
Suddenly I get a message from Etsy as if I'm not communicating, which is nonsense and I'm already afraid to even answer the customer, because Etsy or a robot, evaluated the situation completely differently than if I wasn't answering.
So it's definitely a mistake, because Etsy wrote to me based on that that they could cancel my account, which is unfair, since what they sent me is not true.
Thanks, I realize this is a forum, but I know that some people have written here with the same problem, maybe they will be able to advise if Etsy responded to them.
I have already marked three with MOD (so I don't know if the guys have a weekend, because my weekend was ruined, they sent me an email at 03:00 at night and I haven't been able to sleep since then).
If they hadn't written that one more time, they would delete my account and I wouldn't be able to sell or buy anymore, I would have said..that it was a technical error on Etsy, nothing is happening....
I also wrote 3 emails, no response yet.
That's why I want to keep this thread active, because let them have more emails until they notice this problem.
The Etsy robot itself throws normal messages into spam and then goes to punish you..it's a schizophrenic robot.
You have to tag them by name to get their attention.
There's two, so hopefully, that will get you some assistance.
I'm still confused about what messages you're referring to. From one of your posts:
"I get an email saying that I broke the rules and they can delete my account because I have "unsolicited messages" - of course I don't, I reply to everyone ..."
That sounds like Etsy is warning you about sending too many unsolicited messages. If you have received messages and neglected to reply, they would show on your CSV file.
Which is it?
Basically, I'm confused too, because, I don't send a lot of messages, we wrote to several people on December 13th about the new law or the situation on Etsy and they sent our messages to spam, mine also went to spam with the person I was writing to..and so did his message to me.
Well, the last time I wrote to my buyer about a package, there was a problem with the shipping - the courier, I wrote to the customer that the package was on its way to him, that everything looked fine. And suddenly I got an email from Etsy ....that I was violating the rules.
“we wrote to several people on December 13th about the new law or the situation on Etsy” This seems to me to be the issue. Etsy can see if the same message is written to multiple people. That is considered spam.
Thank you, you're so kind. That's exactly what I marked them, Angie, and some two, I can't remember, in the first posts.
Thanks for the help
messages written on the order are nothing to do with star seller, or the messages badge, they are completely separate
Just this little problem, causes Etsy to be able to delete my account. But I've been checking the SPAM folder for a long time and there's nothing there, except what I myself classified as spam
The problem will be that the AI technology classifies normal messages as spam, as I already wrote here in the post, my message was also classified as spam, when I wrote to someone, so we manually pulled it out of spam with the person I wrote to. So Etsy recorded several falls of my message into spam, without verifying it (as usual) I automatically received this strange message about violating the rules, which of course I did not violate.
Were you sending these messages to buyers who had current/unfilled orders with you about a delay or something with their order? If so, did you contact them THROUGH THEIR ORDERS are did you send them through Messages?
Ako odošlem objednávku, vždy aj automaticky napíšem, že ešte raz dakujem za nákup. No a to mi zostane normálne v správach, takže som pokračovala v tej istej správe.
I can't reply in the right place to your post about what counts/doesn't count with messages. What you said is what I thought, but I was trying to find it in the rules with no luck. Can you point me in the right direction?
it says
To qualify for Star Seller, you need to respond to the first message on a thread within 24 hours.
.... orders aren't threads
Now I looked it up just to be sure and I always write to the buyer thanking them for their purchase in our store, so I continued to do so, not starting a new message thread.
I'm not making myself clear - are you sending messages through their order page? Or are you using the messaging feature?
I don't know if I understand correctly. But classically through messages, since Etsy automatically adds it to my messages (when I send them an order with a message, that message then appears among my other messages)
I've been doing this for over 2 years and there's never been a problem, and I've only written a few messages with one customer about the package, it really feels like a war in some camp, so that a person is afraid to write to a customer now that I'm tracking his package, which hasn't moved for several days, I'll try to solve it (because I want to respond as a proper seller before he could open a case)
Basically, I'm confused too, because, I don't send a lot of messages, we wrote to several people on December 13th about the new law or the situation on Etsy and they sent our messages to spam, mine also went to spam with the person I was writing to..and so did his message to me.
If you wrote to several people, and it wasn't about a current order, that is considered spam. I don't know what the new law or the situation on Etsy refers to, but it doesn't sound like it's related to an order. Hopefully Etsy will respond to your request for assistance.
So hallelujah, after 2 weeks my Etsy chat was working, the Etsy agent read my messages and said he didn't see anything wrong there, neither spam nor unsolicited messages
He said I should write an email to the technicians, which I did, but that I should wait because I was in line...oh
exactly this
That's good, so keep your place in line and don't send them any new messages. Just wait and see. Hopefully they'll get back to you. It can be a long wait sometimes, but if you send new messages, it bumps your request to the back of the line.
