I got a mail from Etsy last night that i violated a policy and my messages are banned for 48 hours and when i contacted the Etsy support they agent disappear after few messages i really need help i didn't violated any Policy
A ban on messages in your dashboard is usually a result of the system detecting that messages have been sent to potential customers who have not initiated contact first. It will see this as spamming, which is illegal in most countries.
You are only allowed to message customers who have initiated contact or purchased from you (and you have to send a message regarding their order)
Were any messages sent out to anyone? These are typically considered soliciting and not allowed. If a message was responded to, was there any mention of taking an order off of Etsy or going against any other Etsy policy?
i didnt message anyone first and sometimes i message a costumer for review
Never a good idea to ask for reviews. A customer who did not appreciate this request may have reported you as it is still unsolicited

This is unnecessary -- Etsy sends out enough reminders without you adding to them
If customers are annoyed by this and so mark your message as Spam, Etsy will suspend your messaging ability
Did you initiate messages in a short time to buyers who purchased from you? That has caused some halts as well.
Did you message a lot of shops as a potential buyer? That's another reason. If you were looking and messaged many shops in a short amount of time that can cause the algorithm to kick in.

Yes i think me and my friend who manages shop message the buyer at the same time after he orders

That would be just like Etsy. They don't worry about whether they let some of us get any views (as that is part of what we pay them for), or for anything else WE need for that matter, but potentially suspending someone's message because they ask for a review. Now that is laughable.
If the buyer is another seller and they get that review message they have 24 hours to answer or their star seller is dinged. Since Etsy already sends out review notifications the buyer spams the message rather than reply. Etsy doesn't read the messages, they just notice that spam is being sent, so they suspend messaging. Makes total sense to me.
@TwinCraftByOH send the buyer an email instead if you must contact them.
I've been having the same problem for about a week. Etsy says they will get back to me by email, but my messages are suspended. I opened a case and explained the situation, but I haven't received any response. Is there anything else that needs to be done during this process? Approximately how long does it take for messages to open?
@MarbleSinkCo: What error / information Message are you getting? That can help explain why your Messaging has been suspended.
There does not appear to be a published time for how long messaging is muted and based on posts in this forum it can vary.
Again based on other posts, Etsy does not seem to view support requests based on suspected user violations as a priority.
If the Message muting is in error, one of the Etsy moderators has been able, in several cases, to assist in forwarding your issue to restore messaging. Hopefully they will see your thread and will check into it for you.
Note quite the same issue but... I received a message notification from a customer on my phone, and when I open my message box, nowhere to be seen, not even in the spams folder...
