I don't know why Etsy sent one of my draft to "inactive" category and not being able to move it to "active" category.
The draft is about a necklace I want to sell.
How can I make active this draft?
Perhaps you published it by accident instead of saving as a draft. Then a bot deactivated it for some obscure reason - there's a lot of that happening in the last few days. Did you get an email from Etsy? (Check your junk mail folder for your email app)
After-thought: Did it have the word 'Amber' anywhere in the listing? Is it the one which is live in your shop now?
Yes it is an Amber necklace but the second Amber necklace which was also disabled by Etsy was sent to active after a few days. Why one Amber was activated and the second one is still at inactive after a week_
@Gemstonesof1980s Amber necklaces with beads less than 1.25" diameter are not allowed to be sold on Etsy due to an incident where a child sadly died after being strangled by a teething necklace and Etsy was sued.
Listings are automatically deactivated until a real person can review the listing to check the specifications. Sometimes they are reactivated again if they are found to not meet the criteria which is disallowed.
@Gemstonesof1980s: It is hard to speculate on why a particular listing was deactivated, but Etsy is cracking down on what they feel inappropriate. Copyright and trademark infringements is a large factor, but it also seems that the bots are looking for trigger words with no consideration for context. Just as an example that may or may not apply to you, if you say an item is ivory colored the listing may get flagged because ivory is not allowed to be sold on Etsy. Since Etsy is now also factoring descriptions in search, they along with titles, tags, and materials (and possibly even alt tags if you are using them) are all probably being checked. And the bots are also "reading" images. Hopefully you have / will receive an eMail from Etsy explaining the reason.
