Etsy search engine in shop

Today, during a nice chat with another Etsy seller about our Etsy shop, she discovered that going to my shop, and searching for candles (inside the shop search) there were no results returned. like I had no candles in shop.

I repeated the search with wine glass and I got same results - no product shown.

However I found products searching for other words that can be found among my tags.

Sooo...question: does any of you face same situation? Is this an indexing issue? If so, do you know the solution ?

LE : I went in a random shop with candles, and did same thing - their candles were showed as results for the search

Your items are not indexed so you need to contact Etsy.

You have to include the naughty words, the search won't work for regular non adult searches. Search again but include bdsm and you'll get results. When targeting adult markets it forces the results to only show for adult related searches.

Why should not work for the "clean" word ?

All I put in was candle and her shop showed nothing. All you need or the search in the shop is 1 word to find out if she has any.

@ThinkAndKink: There is no eMail or phone number for Etsy, (Any you find on the internet will most likely be a scam.) You can open a support ticket through Dashboard > Community & Help > Contact Us

There is also the possibility that some of your items are shadow banned for certain search terms.

Soft update on my own topic - I contacted Etsy via chat, the convo went smooth, they are very communicative and with patience, so they acknowledge and assume that there is some kind of technical issue. They forward it to technical team, and I will get feedback soon. I have a ticket number, for further followup.
