Etsy says that I have not provided shipping info for an order which is preventing me from being a star seller. All of my orders show shipping information. I also show I have one message that I didn't reply to in 24 hours, but it was a response from a mock up shop. I was under the impression our response rate was towards buyers or does Etsy not look at the difference? The only things holding me back from being listed as a star seller don't seem valid.
"I was under the impression our response rate was towards buyers or does Etsy not look at the difference?"
No, Etsy does not look at the difference. It says on your dashboard it is all messages, from both buyers and sellers.
@MelroseMediaLLC: "I was under the impression our response rate was towards buyers or does Etsy not look at the difference?" As it says right on your Star Seller page and elsewhere, you need to reply to the FIRST message of EVERY NEW INCOMING THREAD within 24 hours. It does not matter who sent it, the subject matter, if it is a duplicate or blank or anything else. If it is SPAM then it should be marked as such.
"All of my orders show shipping information." If the shipping company is supported by Etsy make sure that the shipped date, tracking number and shipping company show correctly on the actual order. Etsy relies on a third party vendor for tracking (and tracking number validation) and uses the data on the order. Does the actual order show as at least "in transit"? If not, has the package been scanned? Sometimes a tracking number cannot be validated until after the first scan is publicly available. An unsupported shipping company or invalid / unverified tracking number equals shipped without tracking.
Hey Melrose, I'm not sure about you not replying to message problem I reply to all of mine even ''spam'' with a period ''.''
BUT your "not provided shipping info for an order which is preventing me from being a star seller" I HAVE TOO EXPERIENCED THIS! When I first started selling on Etsy I made mistakes and literally a month later the shipping wasn't a issue anymore as it disappeared. You will be ok with that and messages are easy if they're not messages you feel you don't want to reply to but feel you have to cause you see
''Reaching Out for 1st time!" ... and you feel unsure about replying I just reply ''.''
and keep it going, you will reach your Star seller soon.

And you have bigger issues than that. If/when you start getting removals for infringement, you can lose the ability to ever earn the star seller badge, regardless of all other metrics.
One example you may not know is 'boy mom' is trademarked and heavily protected. They will litigate. They are some of the most ruthless people I have ever seen. They're right up there with Smiley and Homesick candles.
I would learn how that all works and double check all sayings on your listings aren't protected.
Thank you for your reply.
I have made sure to check trademarks when making new designs but must have missed that one. Thank you for your feedback!

That's nice to here! My shop is still young and I just reread through the Star Seller information and realized I missed the 90 day period, as well. Looks like I just need to give it some time and just keep trying to fulfil the requirements.
Thank you for your response
