I copied an old listing, edited, (including Artificial = yes) and published.
It is not showing up in my shop for sale. I can see it under my listings but when I tap View on Etsy, I am receiving this message, "Sorry, this item is unavailable in your region."
Despite letting Chat know that the plants in question are fake, they wrote, "We highly suggest contact local authorities to have more information about the items restrictions."
Anyone know of a work-around?
OP, does your title describe the plant as faux or fake? Is it a toxic variety? I think it might be easier to list it on another marketplace and not upset the Etsy bots.
Yes. the title includes the word "Artificial". I have over 90 artificial plants, stems, and blooms available for sale. The problem is with this one listing only.
Etsy does a poor job of coding listings to deal with exceptions to policies. Even if you would get Etsy to list this, it will likely be taken down again by the bots.
I'm surprised you haven't run into this before. Was this one a copy of an endangered species or one banned in some locations?
The listing in question is no different that the hundreds I have listed and sold in the past. Nothing is endangered. I don't believe my artificial succulent arrangements are exceptions to any policies. Search for "artificial succulents" and you will see thousands available; many from longstanding shops.
No, if it was not of an endangered or banned plant, then it wouldn't be a problem with being an artificial example of something that would have been legitimately removed if real. So it isn't an exception, at least not of those concerns. That makes it even more puzzling why it would have been targeted.
As @cindylouwho2 said, keep hounding Etsy for either an explanation (which they rarely give), or a relisting of the item.
When I had 2 listings being blocked due to being prohibited plants - they were not plants in any way, not even artificial - it took me a while to convince Etsy to unblock them. Keep trying.
