Why has Etsy taken to messing around with messages and pop ups. People who run a business don’t need constant reminders and prompts. It is an unnecessary distraction.
reaching out to you is a nauseating example seen now In messages.
constant injunctions to lower prices and have sales are annoying.
we are paying Etsy. We are not their employees.
is there a way of switching off these nannying suggestions?
I am quite capable of steering my own shop. I pay Etsy to act as a sales platform, not a discount adviser.
I also buy from Etsy and am sick of being bullied to give feedback.
if Etsy just got out of people’s faces and reverted to being a sales platform, Life would be pleasant.
Yeah, it can come across as patronising but I just ignore it. I suppose it might be seen as encouraging for new sellers, but as someone with 9 years experience on Etsy sometimes I just have to laugh at how 'out of touch' they can be. There's no way I know of to turn it off.
I had a nasty feeling I was stuck with it. Etsy take enough money for their services. We should at least get a choice. I swear it is growing worse.:(
It's all part of their passive aggressive antics to get you to slowly go insane. (winky face)
That would not surprise me
I too, get many of the prompts and "suggestions". Doesn't mean I have to do them. *I would rather Etsy have a functioning site w/out non-stop changes & glitches. Which obviously affect both Sellers & Buyers.
But I only rent space here and know my opinion doesn't mean squat. I will voice it however, trying to do so respectfully. And I doubt it holds any weight.
I know I don’t have to do them, but an opt out option for those of us not wanting them would be an enormous improvement.
I only want announcements that are important I.e shipping changes to Germany.
we get the glitches regardless of this wittering from Etsy I am afraid.
