Etsy is not updating delivery events for supported carriers

Orders shipped by DHL are not being updated with delivery events of valid tracking numbers and Star seller score is wrongfully damaged.

Support asked me to open a discussion....

So here it is.

star seller doesn't need delivery events

all star seller needs, is for you to mark the order as completed, by the ship date,
and select DHL as the dropdown carrier, and enter the tracking number

It doesn't need anything else

If you download the star seller csv, what does it show as the problem? date or invalid number?

It shouldn’t affect star seller - but it does! That’s exactly why the thread was opened

Delivery has nothing to do with Star seller.  The only thing that does is having the tracking number, entering it in correctly and then having the item show as in transit  which tells Etsy the seller completed their task.  The delivery is not the issue.

Check the CSV to see if perhaps the tracking number was entered incorrectly and that could be one reason not be updated.

The Star Seller metric for shipping is very simplistic and binary - either you marked the order as complete on time with a verifiable tracking number or you did not - delivery is immaterial. As long as the actual order shows at least "in transit" you are okay as far as Star Seller is concerned.

If an order is still in "pre transit" usually means that the tracking information AS ENTERED has not been or cannot be validated.

I have a few orders that still show as “pre-transit” despite postage being purchased through Etsy & reviews being left! It’s driving me crazy

I’m having this problem. I’m in the UK, using Royal Mail. I mostly use Etsy labels, but when I buy postage direct from Royal Mail & enter the tracking number, it still shows as not dispatched on time in the csv, despite tracking details showing on order.  
I’ve been sent here too, because of a Star Seller enquiry on my part.

You can have an order shipped late with tracking or an order shipped on time without tracking and both will impact your Star Seller stats negatively.

I then have to go onto Etsy, mark as complete, and enter the number

It is all fine for star seller.

If it shows not dispatched on time, you are entering the number too late
