Etsy has failed verify my ID and refunded my customer

I have been trying to get Etsy to verify my ID since August 23rd. I reuploaded on September 2nd. They are aware of this issue, and still have not verified my ID. I need it verified to obtain the $100 I had made from my only sale I had posted.  Well, the days ticked on and nothing was done. So now, that customer has been completely refunded, despite having received the product. Is there some way I can get legal with this???

there are two different things here

you need to verify your ID, to be able to get funds to you, if you don't, it stays in the payment account.

......

If etsy thinks you have conflicting ID, such as country/taxid/bank/address id etc, they may close you

if they think you are selling things that shouldn't be sold here, (and your shop avitar alone is enough) they suspend you

If the item arrives late, even if it arrived, etsy refunds in full.

and you shop is only partially set up.

etsy may think you are too high a risk for them.

So you’re trying to say my avatar is cause for concern??? I had my item listed for two years before it was purchased. I do not have any desire to sell on etsy anymore, thats why my shop isnt set up completely.

Is it my fault? No. I had uploaded my ID to be verified and it wasn’t.

Quite a few people have issues validating ID,

It does not mean the money is refunded to the customer

If your shop can't be verified, the money is held for 6 months, it does NOT get automatically refunded to the customer.

The refund is completely separate to the validation of ID etc.

Sorry but I call BS on things being taken down having a pot leaf on it. There are thousands of pipes sold on here specifically for smoking weed.

also that is not what Etsy said. It said “verify your ID or your sale will be refunded”

Get in touch with Etsy to find out what has happened.  Did Etsy refund from your money?  If so, ask for your money back since the buyer already had the product when refunded!

I have been in contact with Etsy support for over a month, and they continue to just ignore me lol.

@PotPawsStudios   Are you using email or chat?  Chat cannot help in this situation.  And if email should be using only one email to correspond with Etsy.
