Someone please help! These past couple days have been an absolute nightmare with Etsy. They asked me to verify my name 2 months ago so i sent a picture of my ID. After i did my shop was reopened. I received no other Etsy communication until i realized they refunded ALL of my transactions from the busiest time of the year! These people have their items and I’m out all of this money. I looked in all of my email folders and OF COURSE i find an email from TRUST & SAFETY to submit further identification for verification. I used the link provided and submitted my Marriage Certificate. I then got an email saying i was verified but everytime i look at Etsy statements they keep refunding more orders! Help! How am I supposed to get ALL OF THAT MONEY BACK? Why doesn’t Etsy message us directly on the app or shop manager so we can for sure see these things? Someone help me, it’s not fair!

This is crazy! Someone else in the forum just resolved something like this. They refunded $4000 worth of orders. She eventually got it back, but it was a long process.

This is not ok, you need to fight this and get those sales refunded to you.
Contact Etsy right away through one of these links.

One of the similar threads was closed very quickly after a couple of posts. Maybe they deleted it.
Not another one!!! As the poster above said you are not the first. Email Etsy. Does someone else know where the link is for this? Please post it here. You can't call them. All numbers out there are scams.
This is terrifying and horrible. The seller should have been clearly informed. Etsy customer service is terrible and it seems the bots are out of control. However, this does make a case for not taking the big risk of selling protected products. I think anything at all that puts your shop on etsy's radar is a problem. They may go in for one particular thing, and then spot other problems.
All of the previous instances of this it was someone changing their name and a marriage certificate was involved. It is an Etsy bot handling the situation and just refunding everything for the past 60 days.
You have 79 Sales (since 2020), and Etsy has refunded MORE THAN FIFTY OF THEM? What the actual $%!@!
This is horribly wrong, and I'm thinking it's a bot issue, similar to the Seller who had $4,000 worth of orders refunded. This doesn't even make sense.

@LftBrainCreativeMama ETA: You have submitted personal and sensitive I.D. You need an explanation from a HUMAN, not a bot.
They may have created the shop in 2020 but didn't start listing until 2024, so it's not unfeasible that all those sales were within the last few months. I have that in my shop. It shows I opened almost 10 years before I ever listed my first item.
Sellers are out THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS over this.

The one with the 4000 dollar problem waited days and days and was left hanging over the weekend. Is it totally not safe to sell here anymore? It used to be sales over 250 dollars. Now its all sales and refunded weeks later?

one managed to get their money back, the others didn't
delete all infringing listings
