Hello,
I opened my Etsy account just yesterday and published my first listing. There was nothing wrong with the listing — it fully complied with Etsy’s policies. However, just 2 minutes later, I received a suspicious order worth $600, and right after that, Etsy deactivated my listing, claiming it violated their policies.
I’ve been sending emails since yesterday, but I haven’t received any response.
What would you recommend I do in this situation
What was the item?
What was the listing that was removed?
Can you list the title and tags please.
The suspicious order was probably scammers. They've been using stolen credit cards to create fake orders and then sending phishing emails/messages that trick sellers into giving out their credit card details. Never click on links in emails/messages.
A resin and wood combination serving board. I just listed the clock version — I hope Etsy doesn’t remove that one too.
Some woods may be banned. Other words can trigger an automatic ban (Cuba, Havana, etc.)
Some species are endangered and products containing them are not allowed to be sold at all on the world market. Many others are highly regulated, for example, ebony and rosewood.
What type of wood? Some woods are banned because they are endangered.
Did you check to see if your items can be sold internationally. Countries have rules about wood importing.
Without more information about the listing can't really say why it was removed.
Resin and wood...one question that arises is it food safe?
Are you Zeytin Dokusu? This person has the exact same pic on Instagram. If Etsy bots finds matches they will take down your listing. If you are going to cross post on different sites it is recommended to take different pics to avoid Etsy bot take downs.
