I was editing some listing that haven't been get much traction then all of a sudden, 2 of them are deactivated by Etsy as potential counterfeit or unauthorized item, which are prohibited on Etsy under our Prohibited Items Policy.
One of the listings, I only changed the order of the photos!
I make everything myself.!
Should I get a ticket with etsy or just wait out the 10 days while they review it?
I think I figured it out. To style the shelves I put books on them. And one book on there is a Little People Big Dreams book.....featuring Coco Chanel.
Ahhhhh...!!!!!!
That may be it!
I have seen another thread about this,, and they had a Chanel book in the picture,
maybe the bots ae now reading the pics
Etsy said they would review it? I'd let it be.
While I was renewing listings and putting on new listings (one at a time since I still can't do multiple listings at once because of the other glitch), I had one of my listings deactivated. It said "review my account" which is in good standing. I had another listing just like it that renewed right after I received the message with no problem.
@OurLeftovers what is the deactivated item? (Please list title and tags)
Yeah, it's CHANEL. Somehow they are able to scan the photos for trademark infringement. It doesn't matter if it's just a prop - it will get flagged as a 'potential' infringement. This is the 5th or 6th time I have seen this reported in the forums in the last few weeks (I'm keeping a mental note).
That's good for the people infringing, bad for the legit shops or those using props.
Too bad they don't use the bots for KitKats, used makeup, Walmart blow up pools and dirty socks.
@SeasideRoseCreations I know right!?
I suppose it's because it is still a word for the bot to read. That particular perfume company must be really aggressive.
Um, Chanel is a French luxury fashion house, not a perfume company:)
@OneEyeCatStudio No. They sell perfume too.
