Etsy changing main listing picture

When I go to search & find my listings- I noticed that the main listing picture is not being shown but other pictures in the listing are showing.

Is this happening to anyone else?

I've been seeing other Threads about this very thing.  It doesn't make sense.  Buyers are either compelled to click onto a thumbnail photo or not.  As Sellers, we CHOOSE which photo becomes the thumbnail.  And to have Etsy disregard that; who knows how many Buyers would have clicked onto a photo, but did not, because the thumbnail was changed to something other than what the Seller chose.

Draw people in with a labor day sale... and show them a site full of poorly set up listings at discount prices... After all their efforts curating this luxury gold and orange Etsy aesthetic in all their marketing, why would they would want to look like a disorganized thrift shop during one of their biggest events of the year?

I don't see any photos at all! neither in my store not in others

I have just spent 2 hours changing 300  "Thumbnail" / "First" Photos back to what they should be. Somehow, overnight, every image changed to the third or fourth close-up/detailed photo.I believe this has something to do with the chande in aspect ration from Rectangular to square in both Shop Manager and Buyer View.
