I've just received a message from one of our clients stating that they need to enter our shop email in order to proceed with the transaction. Is this something I can adjust in the settings, or is it possibly an issue with the platform?

I'm pretty sure this is a scam that's been going around recently. Buyers do not need your email to complete a purchase.
It's a scam and mainly new sellers are being targeted, lots more posts and info in the link below.
Don't give them your email, it is a scam that is going around. Do not engage and mark the messages as spam.
