I'm an Australian-based Etsy seller. Yesterday I had a message from buyer:
"Hello, I’m interested in your piece but I live in Adelaide South Australia. Do you send to Australia?" She then added, "Your item page says it ships from North Carolina, hence my query above. It’s a little confusing."
When I checked my Etsy page online, the details were correct. However, on the Etsy app, under the 'Item Details' heading, it states "Dispatches from North Carolina to select countries".
I have two Etsy stores and the same occurs for each when I use the Etsy app. I've checked a number of other Australian sellers, and all of them are the same — though with different states (e.g., Virginia, Louisianna, Iowa...)
How can I get this issue expedited with the tech team?
Thanks!
Some sellers from Germany reported this happening yesterday, also showing their location to be in different states in America, instead of their actual location in Germany
@BusyBowerbird you're not alone ... if you haven't already, please contact Etsy via chat or email. The more sellers that do, might get them sorting this out. I'd imagine if we were US sellers, it would have been sorted already.
Thank you for posting, I'm having the same issue. I'll contact Etsy as well ☺️
I'm in Poland. I have the same problem. My listings are showing as shipped from West Virginia. Yesterday I chatted 2 times with customer service. The first time I got no help at all and the conversation stopped. The second time the agent tried to help me but didn't solve the problem. I am waiting for an email from tech support. So, I'm waiting. The frustrating thing is that if it wasn't for the message from a regular customer, I wouldn't even know about it. And such a mistake has a serious impact on sales. Please report this to Etsy via chat or email. The more of us there are, the better.
We have exactly the same problem. We are an Australian store and were sent an email from a customer asking our location. She sent an image showing our store is listed as "dispatches from Washington".
