Having issues syncing Etsy listings with square. I've tried repeatedly and wheel just keeps spinning. Any insight or help provided is greatly appreciated. I'm having my first show tomorrow and was really looking forward to using Square with ease and having it linked to my Etsy. Thank you for any help anyone can provide.
I am trying to syncing my etsy listings with square for half an hour now and it's not going anywhere. I even restarted my computer but it's not doing it. I'm going to be at a craft show / holiday market tomorrow and need to have square updated. Any ideas anyone?
I have the same issue. I tried disconnecting my shop from square and reconnecting…didn’t work. i tried contacting square who told me I had to contact Etsy…..I tried Etsy Support and got on a never ending cycle of submitting my question. The only information tells how to connect to Square, not what to do if it doesn’t sync. When I click on contact support because my question wasn’t answered, it sends me back to submitting a question. I also have a show…..
@DreamWeaversCrochet, I wonder if Etsy made it so that Square won't sync anymore as they did with Pirate Ship. I use an inventory sync app, and they notified me 2 days ago that Etsy did the same thing to them, which made it so NEW CUSTOMERS won't be able to sync their inventory with Etsy; current customers are OK for now. I hope I never get signed out because if I do, they can't link to my shop, which will be awful!
I really hope Etsy hasn't done that with Square because that is a necessary tool for those doing craft shows this time of year!
I just talked to support via the chat option. Due to the ongoing issue for several years, Etsy is no longer supporting sync to Square. Fortunately my shop is new and I can recreate my listings directly in Square for my craft show next week…..double work, but at least I’ll be able to take credit cards!!! They really need to make this announcement to all sellers
@MaitiuInspirationsThis is incredibly frustrating. The need to constantly update inventory on Etsy after a sale makes selling on other platforms or in-person events very difficult. Rushing back to Etsy to adjust quantities after every sale on my website or craft fair was very stressful; this policy feels designed to eliminate certain sellers. I guess we'll find out which ones soon.
It finally synced late late last night. I did chat with Etsy support and they did seem to try hard to help. Not sure what ultimately got it working but glad it did!
Why would they not make an announcement if they're no longer working with square? Why still have things linked on the website? This is crazy to me
I have not seen that this is the case. After a long time waiting I was able to sync my Etsy listings to square (this was 2 weeks ago).
